The other day I had the pleasure of meeting with a dive shop owner/operator who I think epitomizes the small dive shop entrepreneur.
She represents the perseverance and dogged determination that it takes to make a success of it up here in the north east.  In spite of the hurdles -both personal & business - she keeps on persevering.
I am reminded of the legend of Sisyphus.
Ever heard of it?
The legend of a Greek king condemned for eternity to roll a heavy rock up a hill only to have it roll back down again as it nears the top.

In spite of having to start, and re-start Helen Cooper has managed to maintain a vital dive shop complete with four charter boats and all the requisite services.  As she says in the video below wreck diving may be the focus but there a lot of other dive sites to explore in the St. Lawrence River around Brockville Ontario.
