The Crystal River Dive Center <WWW>Manatee-Central.com> is located on the grounds of the Best Western Crystal River Resort <info@crystalriverresort.com) in Crystal River FL.

I happened to stay at the hotel and was pleased to discover that they actually cater to divers and have a shop on the premises.  The dive shop is a PADI Five Star facility and has a flotilla of open boats that take divers out to snorkel with the manatees in the Crystal River right close to the shop.  Of course they sell all the equipment you might need, provide training and schedule Eco tours too.  They have a regular program for grade school kids who come down every year from a shop in SC to snorkel with the Manatees and do an Eco tour along the river.

Its a beautiful location with water at 70 degrees year around and the hotel has well appointed rooms, a gift shop and is within walking distance of several restaurants.  Also, best of all they have  an operating(when I was there) hot tub for apres dives.

Snorkeling with the Manatees is a must add to your "Bucket List" _ second only to swimming with the Dolphins.
